Mission
To share the cultural heritage of the Maine lobsterman, and the wonders of the sea, with people of all ages.
About Us
The work of the lobsterman is a very special part of coastal life in Maine, but few people have seen what its really all about because it happens at sea. One of Chris favorite things about being a lobsterman is taking people out on the boat--- he never tires of seeing their faces light up when a trap full of crabs and lobsters comes out of the water. Filmmaker Tim Tonner entered the picture in the summer of 2002, working with Chris for two long years to finally bring lobstering to life on film! In an age of violent video games and mindless cartoons, the staff of Barking Lobster Entertainment strives to create quality, meaningful childrens films that both entertain and inform. We hope you have as much fun watching them as we do making them!

Filmmaker Tim Tonner is originally from Massachusetts, and currently resides in Stowe, Vermont. His interest in lobstering began on a college film project aboard a lobster boat out of Gloucester, and he vowed to some day capture the world of the lobsterman on video. Some years later, he got his chance when he met Lobsterman Chris at Becky’s Diner in Portland, Maine. Two years and ten thousand editing changes later, the dream of Let’s Go Lobstering is finally a reality. |

Lobsterman Chris Robinson has been fishing the waters off Portland and Cape Elizabeth for ten years. His fascination with lobsters began as a toddler in the tide pools of the Cape Elizabeth shore. Family and friends have been frequent guests aboard his boat, making for many fond memories. When the opportunity to make Lets Go Lobstering came along, he saw a once-in-a-lifetime chance to share those memories with everyone. |
